Headshot of Logan Rose

Hello! My name is Logan Rose, and I am a senior at Penn State University studying Information Sciences and Technology with a minor in Sexuality and Gender Studies.

At Penn State, I additionally work as a Learning Assistant and as a Lead Accessibility Intern for the College of IST. In both roles, I have worked closely with student peers to ensure successful outcomes in some capacity, whether that be leading students to success in their coursework or solving unique problems to ensure accessibility for coursework within the College of IST.

Outside of the classroom, I have interned at J.M. Smucker for two rotations. In 2025, I interned on their Network Services team where I gained valuable skills in cloud-based networking and grew an understanding of mid-to-large sized networks. I worked with services such as SolarWinds Orion, Hamina Onsite, and Aruba Orchestrator. I also gained experience with equipment across multiple vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Juniper MIST, and WTI.

In 2026, I gained hands-on experience supporting enterprise technology as an intern on the Support Services team. From resolving user incidents and fulfilling technology requests to helping prepare over 300 laptops for a company-wide hardware refresh, I had the opportunity to make a direct impact on the employee experience. Along the way, I developed my technical, communication, and problem-solving skills while learning how cross-functional IT teams work together to support the business.

My fascination with the intersection of technology and people began at young age through helping my mom and her fellow teacher colleagues with small tech issues here and there. My dad helped to encourage that passion at home as well. I saw that technology has the power to bring people together in ways more difficult to achieve otherwise. From then on, I knew I wanted to be that bridge between technology and people for others.

Additionally, I interned for Centre LGBT+ in State College, PA, working with them from the grand opening of their new physical space up until State College Pride 2024. After interning, I continue to volunteer for the organization as a social group co-facilitator for their 18-25 year old demographic.

In my free time, I enjoy catching up on new movies, completing crossword puzzles, listening to music, and spending time with family.
